About VCAV

This idea of a technician consortium was born due to our identification of the need for a widespread and flexible source of technical expertise in the visual communication industry.

It’s one thing to secure technical services; it’s another to be secure in their expertise and integrity. As field engineers themselves the founders have the necessary experience to understand the clients needs as well as the technical requirements for communicating with the technicians in a clear and concise manner. After many years of providing this service to our clients, we have found that communication is the primary task.

To facilitate VCAV/Client communications, we have developed a robust yet simple project tasking and ticketing portal. Using this portal ensures full understanding of the requirements for each project that can be relayed to the appropriate engineer with no loss in translation. Change orders, scheduling and tracking of the individual projects all take place through one simple view. Documents and drawings can be archived and forwarded both from the technician and from the client.

From the field engineer side of the portal, appropriate software will be available for the major manufacturers, as well as any documentation needed to complete the job process.

The economics of employing a diverse and talented pool of experts in the videoconferencing field have proven to be a major limitation to resellers and distributors and their requirements for nationwide or worldwide presence.

That’s what VCAV provides- the access to the talent pool for those whose technical resources may be limited but wish to provide services either outside of their geographical area or services beyond the capabilities of their in-house staff.

VCAV Associate Engineers have certifications ranging from the industry recognized Certified Video Engineer rating to Cisco certifications up to CCNP/CCDP.

Our engineers have earned MCSE, Tandberg TCT, MGC/Accord, and many other industry specific certifications. If you have a specific need for a certified engineer in most any discipline, we have the person to satisfy your requirements.

The first and foremost is Integrity. We feel very strongly that in order for us to be successful we have to completely honor the efforts made by our clients in developing their customer base. Another is that we feel that, by keeping our service costs as low as possible, we can help our clients in growing their core offerings while being able to show profit.

And perhaps while the idea of Ambassadors of the Industry may sound a bit over the top, that’s what we are- the field engineer is generally the last face the customer sees before beginning to use their equipment or the person that they are relying on to fix any issues that arise. That visibility has responsibilities and opportunities. We will show the Videoconferencing Industry in the best possible light, while being aware of any need for additional products that can provide our clients with increased revenues.
